WWE.Com: What “huge announcement” will Laurinaitis make?

According to an article posted by WWE, Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manager of Raw (yep I even mention his full title on here) John Laurinaitis will make a huge announcement during tonight’s Elimination Chamber PPV. So it leaves the big question, what will the announcement be? Now there is a little speculation, hence why I’ve posted it on the site that Shawn could be mentioned. It’s probably doubtful, but hey it’s the WWE isn’t it and anything can happen.

Despite his monotone voice and penchant for drab suits, John Laurinaitis has taken to calling himself “Mr. Excitement.” Well, the case can be made that he’s earned the moniker. And tonight at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, Mr. Excitement may very well write another chapter in the unlikeliest of thrillers.

WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manager of Raw hinted yesterday from his Twitter account (@WWERawGM) that he’s about to light off a bombshell:

“FYI: I plan to make a HUGE announcement at Elimination #Chamber tomorrow. It might stop the show, and will certainly be a Game changer.”

What could Laurinaitis possibly have in store? Although there are a few clues in the tweet, whether they can be trusted is anyone’s guess since the wily GM has been known to throw people off the scent. Is he finally prepared to slip on his Technicolor tights and face off against WWE Champion CM Punk? Will he announce that the Board of Directors has named him permanent Raw GM? Will Triple H be there to finish the business of wishing Laurinaitis the best in his future endeavors? Or will The Showstopper, Shawn Michaels, make a surprise appearance at Milwaukee’s Bradley Center?

There’s only one sure way to find out. To end the suspense, order the Elimination Chamber, live on pay-per-view tonight at 8 PM/7 PM CT.
