Sorry for the delay, I had some problems with the screencaptures. But all is ok now, and now on with this weeks Raw results. Well last night was truly a Raw to remember, and the old saying in Vegas “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” truly lived up to it’s name. It was certainly a different Raw than what we are use to, and I’m not just talking about Shawn’s appearance.
The show started off with Shawn coming down to the ring, he says the from the bottom of his heart he tried to stay away but just couldn’t. He mentions how hard it is to do something for twenty plus years, and then to just stop cold turkey. He also expressed how much he missed the WWE Univers.
He then goes on to explain that it was the WWE Universe that made this guy from Texas, the headliner, the showstopper, the main event, Mr. Wrestlemania, and Mr. Hall of Fame.
He talks about the previous guest hosts and how they end up plugging or promoting movies, tv shows and other stuff. And explains that he’s not going to do that, while mentioning his new show debuting Tuesday at 11:30pm EST on the Outdoor Channel and a little plug to his Twitter page.
Before Shawn can continue he is interupted by, CM Punk, David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty.
Punk analyses what Shawn had said, and explains that the reason Shawn couldn’t stay away is because of his personality being so addictive to stay out of the spot light. The straight edge superstar then asks the WWE Univers if they are happy to see The Heartbreak Kid back, before going on to explain his departure on the 17th July.
Shawn interupts and says that it will be a win-win situation, as no one will have to see or hear from Punk again.
Punk agrees as it’s what everyone wants, he says that Wynn is not only a hotel on the Strip. He then goes on to mention that Shawn didn’t win in his final match, and claims he will leave a winner and as the WWE Champion.
Shawn asks Punk if he ran any of this information by the WWE Champion John Cena?
To which Punk replied, that he beat John Cena two weeks ago on Raw. So he has no doubt that at Money in the Bank in Chicago, he is going to leave with John Cena’s WWE Title. He stats that it is the people that has driven him to leave.
Punk mentions that it’s sad that the fans would get on their feet and clap for the past rather than get on their hands and knees for the future to stay.
Shawn explains that at the end of the day, the reason why they cheered for him was because they know that Shawn was and still is better than Punk. This causes the WWE Universe to chant for ‘one more match’.
Punk admits that Shawn was better than him, but there is no one who can hold a candle to Punk in the back now. It was just like when Shawn was wrestling and there was no one better than him.
Punk wants to know if that is a challenge. He says that they are both brash and will say whatever they want. Shawn says that they are not alike, but there are some similarities. Shawn says at the end of the day, Punk has his style and Shawn has his.
Shawn the gives Otunga Sweet Chin Music, a furious Punk threatens Shawn saying that he has made the worst mistake of his life.
Suddenly the party is interupted by an e-mail by the Raw GM. The email explains that Punk leaving the WWE is his decision, but seeing that Punk only has three Raws left the GM is going to make them count. Since Punk is in the ring already, he will be in the first match on Raw Roulette.
Booker spins the wheel revealing that the match will be a Mystery Match against a Mystery Opponent That turns out to be the devil’s favourite demon Kane.
Before the match starts Shawn gives the WWE Universe a second treat, by giving McGillicutty some Sweet Chin Music.
Later on in the show, Drew McIntyre breaks up a brief reunion between Booker T and Diamond Dallas Page who are promoting the new WCW Nitro DVD. The chosen one stats that Booker and Page are taking up his time. he tells them to leave in ten minutes or they will be leaving on stretchers. As Drew turns away he gets taken down by Sweet Chin Music. Shawn tells Booker and Page that he never saw any of the Nitros, because he was busy working at the time.
